Youth in Bruce, Grey, Huron, and Perth are being sought for an advisory council on impaired driving.
Ontario Students Against Impaired Driving (OSAID) are looking for ten students that will help put together an online symposium to educate youth about the dangers of impaired driving (both alcohol and drugs), and texting and driving.
Project coordinator Matt Evans says they are looking for students currently enrolled in high school who are or are about to approach legal driving age.
Evans say OSAID recently received a Trillium grant to organize the symposium and have already recruited five students for the project.
He says he wants the students to drive the symposium because they have a grasp of what’s going on with youth today.
Interested youth are being asked to apply to the OSAID website by January 15th.
