The County of Bruce will be releasing the minutes of a number of closed door meetings that were deemed inappropriate by a closed meeting investigator.
A report from the investigator determined that the meetings did not warrant being discussed outside of the public realm.
In an email sent by the County to the Shoreline’s Oldies, Council on Thursday directed staff to review all closed session meetings in the last five years.
They go on to say that a motion on the investigator’s report will be discussed in an open meeting by the County’s Executive Committee in March or April.
Council have also reaffirmed an earlier decision to have Council and staff undergo Closed Session Practices training on an annual basis.
The investigation was initiated after a group looking to save a County-owned heritage building in Southampton from the wrecking ball believed that the County had no business to have these meetings behind closed doors.
