The OPP has updated their investigation into a fatal collision on the 401 that occurred on April 18th.
They now say two children were among the three people killed in the collision between a passenger vehicle and a tractor trailer on the 401 just east of Maitland.
In addition to the three fatalities, two others were taken to hospital. They have since been released. sed.
The three deceased have been identified as 68-year-old Chantal Dendooven-Legault, 7-year-old Émerik Giroux and 3-year-old Maélie Giroux, all of Laval, Quebec.
The investigation is still ongoing, with assistance from the Grenville County OPP Crime Unit. More information will be released as it becomes available.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is being asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. They’re also looking for any dashcam footage that’s available.
