Hikers and riders take note:
The town of Carleton Place has issued a trail notice about the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail (or OVRT).
They note that Lanark County is applying calcium chloride for dust suppression to some sections of the OVRT today.
The application will mainly take place in the Carleton Place, Almonte, and Pakenham parts of the trail.
The town is asking that you be aware of the crews and use caution should you encounter them while using the trail.
They started the work yesterday and its scheduled to wrap up today.
