The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital has named a new Chief of Staff, and its someone who is well-known to the community.
Dr. Thomas Morell gets the job. He started Tuesday, July 12th.
Dr. Morell succeeds Dr. Kate Stolee who held the position for five years.
Morell has served the community as general surgeon with the hospital for 30 years and has been an active member of the hospital staff since 1991.
Morell says he appreciates the confidence shown to him after the appointment.
