The Smiths Falls Police Service has a new Deputy Chief.
It was announced back in May, that long-serving member of the force Jodi Empey would be taking the job.
On Thursday she was sworn in.
The ceremony took place at the Perth Provincial Courthouse in front of her Honour Justice O’Brien.
Close family, friends and colleagues were in attendance to see Empey sworn in as the first woman to hold the position of Deputy Chief.
