Lake 88 continues to track the unofficial list of nominees for the municipal elections as the deadline to file your papers is Friday afternoon.
Taking a look at Smiths Falls, incumbent mayor Shawn Pankow is joined by challenger Justin Duhamel for the head seat.
Looking at the councilor side of things, Jay Brennan and Peter McKenna are the only two current councillors who have filed their papers to seek another term as of right now.
Chance Lauziere-Peterson, Lynda Mae Bradford, Stephen Robinson, Patricia Ann Clark and Jennifer Miller are the others who’ve put their hat in the ring.
Hopeful nominees have until 2 p.m. to file their papers ahead of the October 24th election day.
