Spartan Pizzeria before the blaze. The building is now gone
The OPP have released an update on Sunday’s Fire at Spartan Pizzeria in Carleton Place.
They report that the Carleton Place fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire, and at this time it is not considered suspicious.
The owner of the restaurant said Monday that he received a phone call after the fire destroyed the business and building housing it, saying that his home was next.
That has the Lanark County OPP crime unit investigating those threats.
The detachment tells Lake 88 the investigation continues and no further details are available at this time.
