The last Sunday in September is Police and Peace Officer’s National Memorial Day.
Services were held across the country to honour the day, which gives Canadians a chance to express appreciation for all police and peace officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting our communities.
The Smiths Falls Police Service held their service at Trinity United Church yesterday. They are thanking the church and the public who attended for their support.
The national ceremony took place on Parliament Hill.
