CKW Inquest Jury Recommendation no. 3 – the importance of meaningful consultations

We continue our look at each recommendation made by the Culleton, Kuzyk & Warmerdam inquest into intimate partner violence.

Today we look at no.3: Engage in meaningful consultation with Intimate Partner Violence stakeholders and experts in the field, to determine the mandate and responsibilities of the Commission that we told you about last week.

Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee says the word meaningful is key.

She says that will help create and inform the mandate and responsibilities of the new commission, while fortifying it with confidence of the community and reassure those navigating the system right now.
