Opposing views: Different approaches highlighted by candidates for Mayor in Smiths Falls

Lake 88’s Mayoral Candidates Round Table took place Tuesday live on In Focus.

Smiths Falls Candidate for Mayor Justin Duhamel says its time for change in the town and he’s the one to lead it.

He cited no examples. Duhamel also says that there needs to be more affordable housing in town suggesting some higher density projects are needed.

Shawn Pankow, seeking a third term in office saying that he will guide the town to further growth and says he continues to help those in need in the town through concrete actions.

He also says that the town has made great strides in helping local businesses, and creating opportunities for families in town through services such as a youth program and a planned health hub that will also double as a public space.
