
The town of Perth has elected a new Mayor. Long-time Councillor Judy Brown has defeated now-former Mayor John Fenik and Stephanie Drummond to win the chain of office.
Brown secured 983 votes, Fenik 919, and Drummond 563.
Ed McPherson was acclaimed to as Deputy Mayor.
Elected to council were David Bird, Jim Boldt, Isabel Ann McRae, Barry Smith, and Gary Waterfield.
In Carleton Place Toby Randell has defeated incumbent Doug Black and newcomer Andreas Foustanellas.

In Smiths Falls incumbent Mayor Shawn Pankow will serve another term after defeating challenger Justin Duhamel. Pankow secured 1635 votes to Duhamel’s 944.
Elected to council in the town were Jay Brennan, Jennifer Miller, Peter McKenna, Chris McGuire, Stephen Robinson and Dawn Quinn.
