It could not have come much closer in the mayoral race in Perth.
You can now address her as mayor downtown Judy Brown as she took down John Fenik by 64 votes, as third candidate Stephanie Drummond claimed 563 ballots.
Brown has over 3 decades of municipal government experience including eight years as a Councillor to Fenik. She said the time to push for the chair was now as she felt the town wasn’t maximizing available opportunities.
Consulting with deputy mayor Ed McPherson, who publicly backed her campaign, is one of Brown’s first agenda items.
Alongside her will be councillors David Bird, Jim Boldt, Isabel Anne McRae, Barry Smith, and Gary Waterfield.
