A hunt for hidden gems in Carleton Place has to start at the Carleton Place and Beckwith Heritage Museum and with it’s curator Jennifer Irwin.
Jennifer points to the significance of the museum’s location and how first time visitors might have to do a little gem hunting to find it.
Irwin remembers working with a university student researching the Mississippi Hotel and the seedier side of that institution’s history.
The museum’s located at 267 Edmund Street in Carleton Place and is open for its fall and winter hours Thursdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm or by appointment.
