On Tuesday, we told you that Drummond/North Elmsley has received dozens and dozens of letters outlining concerns with a potential gun range on the site of the old OPP range within their boarders.
The biggest concerns are noise pollution from guns going off, and the environmental impact to the land and local wildlife.
The township would have to amend a zoning by-law in order for it to go forward. Township Planner Brady McGlade tells us nothing has been decided yet when it comes to staff recommendations, and they value public input.
McGlade says nothing has been decided yet, as there’s still much to consider.
Its expected recommendations will be presented at a council meeting on Dec. 6th.
On Thursday, we speak with Martin Whyte, the owner of the range who filed the application with the township.
