The Upper Canada District School Board announced in a brief media release the closure of all schools in its district and cancelations of its school buses.
They made the decision ahead of an intense winter storm expected to hit the region Thursday night.
The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) also made the same decision, cancelling buses and closing its schools as well.
The CDSBEO added they will not move to remote learning as technology is expected to be impacted by the poor conditions.
