
Niagara Region Public Health announced Tuesday that six people received an injection of a saline solution used to dilute the Pfizer COVOD-19 vaccine without the vaccine component.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has reported COVID-19 data for the first time since the holidays.
There are currently nine hospitalized, with none in the ICU. 144 fatalities in the region are attributed to the virus since the pandemic began. That’s up by one since their last report on December 20th.
There were 103 high-risk cases reported for the week. That’s also an increase since the last report.
As for outbreaks, there are now seven, all in congregate care facilities, accounting for 112 cases. That’s up by one from the last report.
