The health unit is talking about preventing animal bites this Spring, both by wild and domestic animals.
Senior Public Health Inspector, Kim McCann tells us that bites and scratches are far more than skin deep.
McCann says be careful about animals you approach, even dogs and cats.
If you get bitten by a wild animal contact your primary care provider right away or head to the ER if you’re feeling badly.
McCann says don’t forget – you’re responsible for your pets when they’re outside.
