A building fire a the site of the old water treatment plant is now pretty much out in Smiths Falls. Fire fighters remained on the scene as of 8:30 this morning to douse hot spots.
Video and pictures from the scene show the building fully engulfed in flames and multiple fire departments responding.
Smiths Falls Fire tells Lake 88 that the scene will remain under investigation for some time. Police are involved. No one was hurt and its too early for damage estimates.
Old Mill Road in Smiths Falls remains closed as the investigation continues. The intersection of Old Mill Rd at Main St W and Maple Ave is also closed.
