We continue our look at each recommendation made by the Culleton, Kuzyk & Warmerdam inquest into ending intimate partner violence (or IPV) in Ontario.
Today we look at no. 30 which says the province must Provide specialized and enhanced training of police officers with a goal of developing an IPV specialist in each police detachment.
Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee says once again Lanark County OPP are leaders in this department.
Lee also says something similar is already in place in Lanark County, where a victim advocate has been in place for the past three years.
