Members of the Almonte Civitan Club presented the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation with a cheque for $5,000 on Monday at the beginning of their monthly meeting.
The generous donation has brought the Civitan’s contribution the the foundation’s fundraising efforts to $10,000.
AGH FVM Managing Director Al Roberts said in a media release that raising $3.2 million is like “eating an elephant,” where if you think of the whole thing, you’ll never get it all done. But if you slowly chip away, you’ll get closer to your goal without realizing it.
The foundation’s is $700,000 shy of reaching their goal to fund the CT room at the hospital.
