Sports enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Lanark Highlanders Rugby Club hosts a highly anticipated match between the Canadian and American National Women’s teams. The game, held at the new Oakfield Rugby Park just outside Perth on the Franktown Road, promises an exciting display of athleticism. Open to the public and free of charge, this event offers the perfect opportunity to cheer on Team Canada and show your patriotic spirit.
For those seeking a more relaxed and sociable atmosphere, the Perth Legion and Lanark Legion Branch 395 have planned enjoyable Canada Day Celebrations. The Perth Legion’s festivities kick off at 12:30 pm and feature live music by Harry and Cheryl Adrain, along with other engaging activities. Attendees can indulge in a delicious steak dinner for $20, complete with all the fixings. Meanwhile, the Lanark Legion Branch 395 is hosting a Canada Day Steak Bar-B-Que at 69 George Street in Lanark Highlands. Starting at 2 pm, the event includes live music by Rukkuzz and offers a choice between a mouth-watering steak dinner for $20 or a scrumptious hamburger dinner for just $15.
Lastly, for those in search of a unique shopping experience, head over to St. Kilian’s Church in Ardoch, where a bake and yard sale will be taking place from 10 am to 1 pm. This delightful event allows you to explore a variety of homemade treats and unique treasures.
