The Ontario government is expanding paramedic programs at provincial colleges by adding over 300 new spots.
This step aims to address the high demand for paramedics, improve access to training, and strengthen the paramedic workforce.
Jill Dunlop, the Minister of Colleges and Universities, highlighted the government’s efforts to provide world-class postsecondary training to more students within Ontario.
By addressing the current shortage of paramedics and preparing a larger number of highly-skilled healthcare professionals, these additional program spots will play a critical role in delivering excellent care to Ontarians.
