Smiths Falls Police tells Lake 88 news that a house fire on Elmsley St. in the town Sunday morning is now under investigation.
As a result, a stretch of Elmsley St. was closed for the better part of the day. It re-opened late in the afternoon. has been closed since early Sunday morning. It was expected to re-open late Sunday Afternoon.
Smiths Falls Fire attended the blaze early Sunday morning, and the investigation has been handed off to the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office.
It is believed no one was hurt in the fire. We will share more information as it becomes available.
