Adam Lloyd is the new head coach for the Carleton Place Canadians.
He’s no stranger to Carleton Place. Lloyd won the Fred Page Cup with the Canadians in 2014 and 2015, and has spent the last two years as an assistant coach.
He described himself as a players coach, although he can sense his approach will have a change a little now that he leads the bench.
Lloyd sees this as an opportunity to build on a team culture as more than 10 players from last year’s team are expected to return for this season.
He takes the reins from Canadians owner Brent Sullivan, who stepped down as head coach to become an assistant coach with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting.
