
This year it’s a Bicentennial event, but the North Lanark Highland games has a history all its own.
Saturday’s event is the 38th annual edition at the Almonte fairgrounds.
With more than twenty pipe bands, hundreds of dancers and champion and amateur heavyweight athletes the event is recognized as one of the Ottawa Valley’s premier summer attractions.
There’s free admission for kids 11 and under and children’s mini games to occupy youngsters’ attention.
Tickets are $19.65 per person and sales end day-of, August 26th
