A former Perth Scout leader was sentenced to four years in jail late last month.
70-year-old John Rietveld had been charged with buggery, indecent assault, and two counts each of sexual interference with someone under 16, invitation to sexual touching with someone under 16, and sexual assault.
Rietvald plead guilty in July to one count of indecent assault and had the remaining charges withdrawn following his sentencing.
He worked in Perth and Ottawa in the early 2000s for Scouts Canada.
The original charges involved incidents in Niagara Falls and Mississauga between 1978 and 1980, with alleged incidents involving a girl between 2004 and 2005 locally.
Rietvald began working for Scouts Canada in 1975 and held many titles, including president and executive director of the Scouts Canada Foundation from 2002 to 2011.
