Good news coming out of the Almonte General Hospital: a vendor has been chosen to provide the new CT scanner.
GE HealthCare Canada was selected to provide the scanner.
The $3.2 million project is being fully funded by the Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation. Through donations and pledges, they’re working to raise $700,000 more to hit their goal.
Foundation Chair Rob Scott says this will provide a more streamlined healthcare experience for all involved.
The CT scan will sit near the emergency department in a renovated room to fit the large machinery.
Patients will be welcomed by late spring or early summer next year.
