With Fire Safety Week here near, Drummond/North Elmsley Deputy Fire Chief Darren Gibson shared some tips surrounding this years theme around kitchen and cooking safety.
Kitchen fires are the leading cause of house fires, and Gibson says it’s important to stay alert, especially when you’re on the stove.
Gibson also says your mindset should be strong before you start cooking anything.
If you’re drowsy or disinterested, it may not be the best time to start making something, as mistakes happen and that could lead to danger.
