Mississippi Mill elected representatives are coming off some positive budget discussions.
Mayor Christa Lowry says linking budget debate to the municipality’s Strategic Plan makes total sense.
Lowry says the initial increase suggested by staff seems reasonable to some, given inflationary pressures.
The mayor says there are a lot of high-ticket items clamoring for attention, and these include a new fire truck in Pakenham, 1.8 million in hard-topping projects, two water and sewer jobs with a combined 5.5 million dollar price tag, as well as rink infrastructure at the John Levy Community Centre and curling club among them.
