Joseph Gallipeau passed away last week surrounded by family.
Mayor Shawn Pankow, Town Council and Staff are offering their deepest condolences to his wife Diane Gallipeau, his children, friends and extended family.
“The Town of Smiths Falls mourns the loss of a great community pillar. Joe Gallipeau’s dedication to serving and continuously investing in the growth of our town was admirable”, said mayor Shawn Pankow. “His work has left an incredible mark in our town and his legacy will carry on through the hundreds of homes that we now enjoy in Smiths Falls.”
Joe, as he was known, was born and raised in Smiths Falls, was the owner of J.A. Gallipeau Construction and in construction and development for over 50 years in the town and surrounding areas.
