More than 20 young women took part in the First Responders Camp held in Perth over the weekend.
The camp gave participants a chance to get a hands on approach to what goes into becoming a first responder.
First responder partners from across Lanark County took part, including the Perth Fire Department, Lanark County OPP, the Smiths Falls Police Service, Lanark County Paramedics, Carleton Place Fire Department, and Smiths Falls Firefighter’s Association.
This was the second such camp, though the first only featured the camp’s founding group, the Perth Fire Department.
It’s being called a resounding success.
