The Town of Smiths Falls is looking to boost playground accessibility.
Director of Community Services Stephanie Clark says they’re focusing on six spaces over the next three years they’ll be tackling.
That includes putting a parkette on Lee Avenue as well as a space near the SFMCC.
But it also means revisiting existing parks.
Clark says it’s not just about getting to parks, it’s also ensuring the parks themselves are accessible for any child and family.
The creation of an implementation plan is in its early days as staff identify how they could accomplish their goals.
