Carleton Place council has been provided with details on the new health hub to serve the town as well as neighbouring Beckwith.
Town CAO Diane Smithson outlined the multi-layered deal which will see Carleton Place and Beckwith commit to provide $1.7M in funding over 10 years to cover a portion of upfront costs and annual lease payments.
The breakdown has Carleton Place paying 60% and Beckwith 40%.
Construction of the building on Costello Drive is planned to be completed by next fall.
The committee unanimously endorsed the plan at their last council meeting.
