Caton Ryan warms up ahead of the Carleton Place Canadians taking on the Cornwall Colts 10/29/23
Caton Ryan is the lone-representative of the CCHL in the Preliminary Players to Watch List released by NHL Central Scouting Bureau ahead of the 2024 draft.
The 17-year-old forward from Kanata is the assistant captain with the Carleton Place Canadians and is currently projected as a sixth or seventh round draft pick.
Head Coach Adam Lloyd spoke highly of Ryan’s maturity.
Ryan’s in his third season, his second full campaign, with the Canadians, after playing 15 games in when he was just 15.
Lloyd thinks that initial experience enhanced his development in the years that followed.
Ryan has committed to play NCAA hockey at Clarkson University in 2025.
