The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is working towards developing a new site for Perth.
President and CEO Michael Cohen says the embattled infrastructure in their current building cannot sustain the pressures on the healthcare system and the projected demand.
Cohen says the clock is ticking on the existing site.
Their goal is to have a new site up and running in 2030. It’ll take significant fundraising to reach their 10% input for its infrastructure, with the province covering the rest.
The exact numbers aren’t yet known.
