Smiths Falls Police ended up finding their man after a driver struck a cruiser before fleeing from the scene earlier this week.
Police were looking for the driver of a Kia Sportage with stolen BC plates that took off from them during a traffic stop on Lombard St and asked for help to identify the driver.
They’ve since learned the driver was located the following morning on the 29th after crashing into a yard in Prince Edward County.
He was identified as 22-year-old Dong Han Huang of North York.
The accused had switched to another set of stolen plates after the pursuit and it was further determined that the vehicle was stole
SFPS have laid several charges including assault with a weapon.
