St. Andrews in Pakenham is hosting Pysanky workshops, Ukrainian egg decorating, throughout November.
Rev. Sheryl McLeod tells us her interest in the creation of these eggs dates back to when her daughters were young, and had outgrown most of the store-bought ways to paint eggs.
McLeod says egg-painting is not something you can do in a hurry.
The Reverend says this is the second time this year she has offered the Pysanky workshops, because although their prevalence at Easter is understood, the tradition is also applicable to this particular time of year.
She indicates only the colours and symbolism employed are different.
McLeod is inviting those interested to St. Andrews in Pakenham every Wednesday this month from 1-4PM
