Brent Sullivan is back as head coach of the Carleton Place Canadians.
The owner and general manager of the club began the season as an assistant coach with the OHL’s Sarnia Sting, but resigned from the role earlier this month and is back behind the CCHL bench.
He said there are family matters he’s dealing with that ultimately led to his decision to walk away, although it still wasn’t easy to leave the best development league in the country.
Former head coach Adam Lloyd remains on Sullivan’s staff as an associate coach.
Sullivan said the two have a great relationship and it was a joint decision to realign the bench as they hope to turn the season around.
Carleton Place currently sits in 9th place in the 12 team league with a 10-11-2 record.
