Lanark County’s approved their 2024 budget with a tax rate increase of 2.9%.
The overall budget has increased $1 million from last year, up to $121 million.
Warden Steve Fournier highlighted a number of big ticket capital projects on deck for next year.
Fournier says the budget sees some capital projects being funded through $5.1 million in reserves capital.
Lanark Lodge is also receiving a new roof on its A-wing, as well as the replacement of an elevator and sidewalk.
