Perth Councillor David Bird is warning that taking money out of reserves to complete additional capital projects next year could put the town on a worrisome path.
The councillors comments come after the committee of the whole vote to take money out of reserves to build a sidewalk on both sides of Treelawn Blvd, instead of just one as per the original plan.
Staff reported the latest budget proposals would decrease reserves by $7M.
Council holds their final vote on the budget on Dec 12.
