Almonte-based Dairy Distillery recently appeared on CBC’s hit show Dragons’ Den to pitch Vodkow to the five dragons in hopes to land a deal.
Vodkow is a cream liquor made through cow milk and distilled on-site.
Founder and CEO Omid McDonald said they made their pitch about five months ago after show producers approached their booth at an event earlier in the summer.
He spoke to Lake 88 about his experience, and what it was like to enter the den.
As for a result, the company reached a $1.25 million deal for 10% of their company with Manjit Minhas, who built her fortune in alcohol sales.
McDonald provided an update since the deal was made on the show.
