It was a busy year for Mississippi Mills in 2023.
The bi-centennial celebrations were aplenty over the past 12 months with Mayor Christa Lowry saying the timing couldn’t be better to have the community chalk full of big events after a few years of not having them.
Of course 2023 brought new faces to council chambers, and Lowry said they work well together.
While lots of fun was had, she says she’s glad some things are not coming back.
Specifically, the old water and sewer infrastructure in Almonte when the construction was completed in the fall.
Lowry also highlighted council’s plans for 2024.
