Police say they have laid charges against a Morocco man in connection with a series of threatening messages against schools and public facilities in Ontario, which led to lockdowns across our local schoolboards.
The suspect has been arrested in Morocco in connection with similar bomb threats in Belgium.
El Hachm El Moussi, a 45-year-old from Casablanca was charged with two counts each of uttering threats, mischief, and extortion.
Ontario Provincial Police say the threats included demands for money in exchange for information about the alleged explosives.
Police say they are consulting with the federal department of justice to figure out how the suspect will appear before an Ontario court.
