Algonquin College has received a near $360,000 grant in further research to support survivors of intimate partner violence through a College and Community Innovation program grant.
The grant will support research on concussion recovery technology through a specially developed headband which gives real-time information to help monitor and give advice on how to effectively speed up recovery.
The project will be viewed through a trauma-informed lens to support those who have experienced a traumatic brain injury caused by intimate partner violence.
The project will connect survivors with an accessible and affordable recovery option and bring a trauma-informed approach to clinical settings.
