Watershed managers in eastern Ontario are in watch-and-wait mode as the region deals with a lack of snow early in the season.
Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority water resources technologist Jennifer North says water levels and flow conditions are always a moving target.
Lake 88 asked North what happens if these conditions persist.
North says if this takes place there’s a greater possibility of shoreline ice damage and unsafe ice conditions as lakes will still have ice on them during the refilling process.
