In response to the recent rise in hate incidents in the province, the Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism is providing one-time funding to eligible organizations through The Ontario Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant.
To be eligible for the grant, the applicant must hold gatherings of religious, spiritual or cultural significance, at least once a month as part of regular activities.
LGBTQ+ organizations which host annual culutral gatherings are also eligible, and the applicant must be a registered charity or not-for-profit corporation.
Eligible organizations in Ontario can receive a one-time grant of $10,000, $15,000 or $20,000.
