As early as this week Leeds Grenville Paramedic Service could receive feedback from the United Counties on its 2024 budget request.
Paramedic chief Jeff Carss says this year’s wish list contains a 5.4% funding increase over last year.
In the six months since the opening of the Wesport Paramedic unit Carss said the surrounding communities within Rideau Lakes and parts of Lanark and Frontenac Counties have benefited.
Carrs says it’s possible the United Counties committee of the whole may give some indication and direction on the EMS budget request during Wednesday’s special meeting.
