Rideau Lakes has its new Fire Chief.
Gene Richardson has been selected and will begin his new role February 12th.
Richardson has three decades of fire service experience most recently spending four years with the Township of Lanark Highlands as their fire chief.
He spent 25 years previously volunteering with the Drummond/North Elmsley Tay Valley Fire Department, and he was also a councillor from 2018-22 in Tay Valley.
