Lanark County council wants a little more insight into the tourism plan for 2024.
Presented to the economic development committee, the 2024 tourism work plan was a little too high level for councillor Christa Lowry’s taste.
The plan highlighted three objectives. Developing partnerships and collaborations, market the county as a destination of choice, and enhancing and diversifying the available experiences in the area.
Councillor Toby Randell felt there was one glaring omission to that list.
Ultimately the rest of council agreed with Lowry’s concerns about not being provided with enough detail on how that’ll exactly be accomplished, so they voted to have a further conversation with county staff at the next committee meeting February 28th.
